The story begin with the past life of Randy Daytona (Dan Fogler).He was one of America’s best young athlete and he was the best Ping Pong player in the world.Until one day when he was put against Karl Wolfschtag (Thomas Lennon) from Deutschland,he lost concentration and loss the tournament.
The reason of his loss is his father.Randy’s father put a bet on him to the Chinese mavia Mr.Feng (Christoper walken).Because of his loss,her father was killed by the Chinese mavia who put money on Randy.
And he made a humiliation of himself when he fell out off the field.And when the reporter ask him if he is ok or not ? he answer “i’m going to Disneyland”,his statement becomes a joke on him.That was the day where Randy quit competing again.Years had past and Randy continue his live as ping pong entertainer in the café.
Until one day an FBI agent Ernie Rodriguez (George Lopez) came to meet Randy. Ernie was an agent who always work behind the desk.But now he got a chance to work in the field and he was very excited.He wan’t to ask Randy to go with him and follow the tournament which is held by Mr.Feng.Mr.Feng is one of FBI most wanted.
So Ernie ask Randy to Follow in the tournament so he can also come to Mr.Feng island as an undercover assistant and gathered evidence to capture Mr.Feng. At first Randy refuses Ernie’s offer but after a while he except this challenge.So Ernie start to prepare Randy for the mission.First Randy must compete again and win in order to get the invitation from Mr.Feng.Because Mr.feng is also a ping pong fanatic.
He was once one of the best chinese ping pong player when he was young.And he always look for the best player to invite in a high stake competition.But Randy lost in his first competition,because he never compete in many years.So Ernie take Randy to Wong (James Hong).Wong is a blind Master ping pong.
But Wong won’t teach Gweilo (a Chinese call for white guy).But Ernie convinced Wong to teach Randy.Feng is once Wong’s student,but he was cast out off his school because he make Wong’s student become a den of thieves.Feng also killed Wong’s brother Lei Ping.Ernie promised to Wong if he teach Randy he will catch Feng for him.
Wong agreed.In Wong’s training gym Randy meet Maggie Wong Mei Fei (Maggie Q),Wong’s niece.And Randy fell in love with her at first sight.Maggie was Randy training partner.She encourage Randy to come back again as the best ping pong player.At last Randy wins many competition and gets his invitation from Feng.
In Feng’s island many ping pong player is invited.One of it is Karl Wolfschtag Randy’s rival.So the competition is begun.But is not just an ordinary competition its a massacre.Because all the loser must die.So Randy must stay alive by wining every match.The rest of the story you can watch it yourself.
This movie is funny and amusing to watch.Unordinary ping pong game makes the game is more interesting.The story is a little bit off course.But that is how comedy movie is.Many funny scene that will make you laugh,like when Wong is always fell or bump into something.The movie can be watch with all your family members.The story is easy to follow.So watch it and see for yourself.
