Red Cliff II is the story about the three kingdoms.Three kingdoms was a famous story in China history.This movie is the prequel of the first episode.

At the first episode Cao Cao (Feng Yi Zhang) managed to force the emperor to give him permission to eliminate Liu Bei, the emperor’s uncle and Sun Quan (Chen Cang) which was a threat to him in conquering the kingdoms under his command.

He attacked Liu Bei’s Country and destroy it.But Liu Bei survive from the attack along with his soldiers and people.Eventhough he lost his wife.Liu Bei send Kong Ming (Takeshi Kaneshiro), his viceroy to convinced Sun Quan to cooperate with him fighting Cao Cao.And Kong Ming made it.So the war begins.Cao cao send a letter for Sun Quan to surrender.

But Sun Quan give no as an answer.Cao Cao begins his attack on Wu (Sun Quan’s country}.At the first attack he was failed.But this is only a trial attack to know how big Wu’s power is.Zhou Yu, Sun Quan’s viceroy (Tony Leung) realize this.Now Cao Cao know how big Wu’s power.But Wu didn’t know how big Wei’s (Cao Cao country) power.

So the princess Sun Shang Xiang (Vicky Zhao) sneak out to the enemy lines, disguise as wei soldier.Cao Cao army’s is attacked by epidemic sickness because of the changing weather.But Cao Cao abjectly use his dead soldier to spread this diseases to the enemy lines.By sending their dead body through the rivers to Wu.While the princess is sending information about the enemy’s strength.Zhou Yu and Kong Ming is thinking of a plan.

They need 100.000 arrows to fight Cao Cao in the water, mean while time is running out and its impossible to make it in a short time.Kong Ming take the responsibility to collect this arrow in 3 days with his head as a bet with Zhou Yu.While Zhou You made a deal with Kong Ming with his head as a bet to kill Cai Mao and Zhang Yun.With his brilliant plan Kong Ming manage to collect the arrows by deceiving Cai Mao and Zhang Yun by using advantage of the fog.

And Zhou Yu Manage to determine Zhang Yun and Cai Mao by making a clash between Cao Cao and them.Zhou Yu make Cao cao thinks that they are a traitors and he kills them.Cao Cao lost his power in water battle.Because They didn’t have many experience in water combat.Then the princess is coming back to Wu bringing important information for Zhou Yu and Kong Ming.

His brother Sun Quan was angry to her,because he thinks that his little sister always causes him nothing but troubles.But after he see what she bring,he apologize to her and admitted her sister cappability Eventhough Cao cao has lost two of his best admirals.The chance to win the battle is still small.Because the weather is not supporting for the Wu.But by the prediction of Kong Ming that the wind will change its course at night and this will be a good chance for Wu.In order to gives time for Wu before Cao Cao attack them first.Xiao Qiao (Chi Ling Lin).,Zhou Yu’s wife go to Cao Cao’s ship without her husband permission to give him times.Cao Cao was in love to Zhou Yu’s wife for many yearsAt last Wu wins the battle.

This movie is a great Chinese colossal battles movie fill with great strategy we can’t imagine.The story is added with romance,comedy and dramatic scenes.If you loves the story of the three kingdoms it surely a movie you don’t want to mist.Great heroic action that will make you amazed.So it’s a worth to watch movie and there is good messages in it.
