Grand Torino Movie Reviews

Korean Vet and retired autoworker Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) doesn’t like much how his life or his neigbourhood has turned out.He especially doesn’t like the people next door.Hmong immigrants from southeast asia.

But events force Walt to defend those neighbour from a local gangs that feeds on violence and fear.Walt relationship with his family wasn’t so good. All that his family care is only his heir. But things are change since he met Thao (Bee Vang) and his sister. And slowly Walt was involve emotionally with his neighbour, specially Thao.

Walt is giving Thao what he never gets in his Hmong culture.Meanwhile the local gangs is becoming more aggressive in their action, they often disturb Thao and his sister. One day, they did something very bad to Thao’s sister, they raped her.Walt is very mad about this, he wants to get revenge but he also doesn’t want to make trouble for Thao.

For the first time since Million Dollar Baby,Clint Eastwood works on both side of the camera, winning the National Board of Review Award as best actor for his bone deep playing of Kowalski, burnished with experience, grace and gravitas into a prime vintage Eastwood performance.

Grand Torino is a drama kind of movie that you have to see.A very touching stories, i think.A Funny mixture between two different cultures that is totally separate ways.

And again, thank you to those contributing daily to our Movie Revews website.
