The happening is a paranormal thriller in which a family must survive a global environtment crisis.The film potray the earth vegetation unleashing airborne neurotoxins that cause all those who breathe it to commit violent suicide.

The story starts with an intense scene where many people commited mass suicide in New York, it was predicted by scientist as the cause of some toxic gas. Information about this happening is widespread rapidly all over the country. The government inform that everyone should evacuate the city because this disaster keeps on moving, spreading and attacking many region.

The protagonist, a science teacher named Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg) goes on the run with his estranged wife (Zhooey Deschanel) and friends as the hysteria grips on the planet. Wondering what is realy happening they keep running to find a save place.

What is really goin on to those people ? What makes them commited suicide ? Will Elliot save from The Happening ? Find out yourself.

Its quite chilling movie.But it has a strange ending i think.This movie takes us to realize and become more aware to what is happening to our surrounding. If you like intense movie, this is a movie that suitable for you to watch.
