Speed Racer is an adaptation movie from the animated series.The story is about extreme racing cars.Where Speed (Emile Hirsch) the main character is a racer whose looking for his brother that is misssng.

His Father or known as Pops (John Goodman) is the mechanic man for his car the Mach 5 and the builder of his family racing team.Rex (Scott Porter) ,Speed’s brother is the racer of this team.Since he was a litle kid Speed use to follow his brother,and he starts to fall in love in racing too.

Speed learns all of his driving skills from Rex.One day Rex left the house and decide to quit from his father team and join other team.He left the key of the Mach 5 to Speed.After he join this team Rex become someone else, unsportif and a dirty racer.

Before Rex leaving the house,he told Speed to keep trust in him cause what he will do will make people say something bad about him but he must do this.After a long years Speed had become a racer like his brother.He had wins many races.

Someday E.P.Arnold Royalton (Roger Allam) came to his house and offer Speed to join his team.He invited Speed to look at his company and show what is the goal that he wants to achieve through the racing.

But Speed refuse to join and stay with his father’s team.This make Royalton very upset.He planed to destroy Speed in the next race.In the next race Speed deals with Royalton’s driver and cars, they used dirty ways to win the race by using a spearhook,which is illegal in racing.

Speed face a big problem in his race,but he was help by Racer X.Royalton tries another way to determine Speed by making him disqualified in the next race.Speed regretted that he refuse Royalton’s offer cause now his way to win the grand prix is closed.But his Mom (Susan Sarandon) encourage him.

And by the help of Racer X,he managed to get back in the race.But speed must past the Casa Cristo race that is very dangerous.His father didn’t allow it.

But Speed decided to do this race behind his father’s back. Only Trixie (Christina Ricci) his girlfriend, Spritle (Paulie Litt) his little brother and his monkey Chim – Chim who knows this. Speed join Racer X team with Taejo Togokahn (Rain).Taejo is trying to rise up the Togokahn Motors back in business again.In subtitute of helping the Togokahn,Taejo will help Racer X to get the evidence of Royalton’s criminality.So the races begin.

This movie is very much alike its animated series.Extreme racing with modified cars look very fantastic.There is also many comedies in it.Its fun to watch with the rest of the family.And also suit for everyone in any ages,Specially if you are Speed Racer’s fan.This movie won’t disappoint you.
