Shinjuku Incident Movie Reviews

Shinjuku Incident Movie Reviews

The Chinese immigrant communities in Tokyo live shadowy lives. The Japanese neither acknowledge nor welcome them. They are shunned by the mainstream society, hounded by the yakuza, and go about their days under fea of being discovered and repatriated.

It is an alien world for Steelhead (Jacky Chan), an honest, hardworking tractor repairman from Heilongjian in northern China. Steelhead decided to take the perilous journey to Tokyo after he lost contact with his girlfriend who had arrived in the city earlier.Trying to exist in the underbelly of Tokyo long enough to find Xiu Xiu.

Tired of running Steelhead has come to realized the migrants had to stand united if they wanted to go about their lives without fear of oppression by not only the Japanese underworld but also Chinese gangs.

Opportunities come when he unaccidently caught up in a yakuza conflict. By saving one of the top yakuza leader, Steelhead get the chance to stand up for his communities. He was entrusted to hold the Chinatown area.

But the Japanese yakuza were scared that the Chinese will become more stronger in Japan. So they planned to get rid of Steelhead. And the conflict between the Japanese yakuza and the Chinese Gangs begin.

Shinjuku Incident is an action drama movie about the hard live of the Chinese immigrants inTokyo. Ussually we see Jacky with his action comedy movies with creative fighting scene, but in this movie we won’t find any of it. Because in this movie the drama side is more shown rather than action.
