It started when Marty Bronson the owner of a small motel, the Sunny Vista motel were in desperately broke.He had ran the motel since long ago together with his daughter Windy Bronson (Courtney Cox) and his son Scitter Bronson (Adam Sandler).

For Scitter the motel was everything,a magical place for him. Every night before Scitter sleep, Marty often tells him a bedtime stories. Unfortunately Marty was a bad bussinesman, he was perforce to sell his motel to his friend Mr.Bary Nothingham (Kerry Russell). Marty use to dreams that someday his motel will be the home for his daughter and son to continue with, specially Scitter.

And its been a hard decisison for him to sell it. Nothingham promised Marty that he will keep this motel survive and develop it into something bigger. And he also promise that he will give Scitter a chance to run the place if he work hard and show some smart to him. After 25 years the motel has become a big hotel the Sunny Vista Nothingham.

And it has been maintenance all along by Scitter Bronson as the handyman. Scitter is waiting for his chance to do his shots. But it seems that Nothingham has forgotten about his promise to his father. One day Nothingham pronounced that he want to close the hotel and build the Sunny Vista Mega Nothingham in the westcoast and he like to introduce the new general manger that will run this hotel. Scitter was very anctious about it.

He think that Nothingham will came up with his name,but he was out of luck. The new guy is Candle Duncan (Guy Pearce). Nothingham has a daughter named Violet (Carmen Elektra), she was Duncan’s girlfriend. Scitter is very disappointed with Nothingham’s decision. Until one day Windy his sister is asking him for a favour to look after his nephew Patrick and Boby for a week.Windy was a school principal,but her school is going to be laid off but she had an interview in Arizona for a new job.So he needs Scitter’s help to look after the kids.

Scitter refuse at first because he doesn’t get along with his nephews well. But in the end he except it, Scitter will be help by a night school teacher named Jill (Teresa Palmer). So they are looking after the kids by turns. At morning is Jill’s turns and at night is Scitter’s turns. Scitter must take them to bedtime every night.

They ask Scitter to tell them a bedtime stories before they go to sleep. Scitter try to read them books, but he doesn’t like any of the books that they have got. So he make up his own stories and take the kids to participate in it too. Scitter tell a stories about his condition in the Sunny Vista Nothingham hotel to the kids, but in a fantasycal way.

Scitter is having trouble to divide his time between looking after his nephews and doing his work. So he take his two nephews at works. Scitter receive a call from the hotel to fix Mr.Nothingham’s tv in his room. In this room he had a conversation with Nothingham about the new hotel. Nothingham tells a bit about the concept of the hotel which is planned by Duncan. Apparently that concept has been use by the Hard Rock hotel.

So immediately Nothingham ask Scitter to call Duncan to his place.Because of this conversations Nothingham remember about his promise to Scitter’s father. So he was given his shots. Scitter is very excited. Suddenly he realized that this situation is simmiliar with the bedtime stories that he make up with the kids.

So Scitter bring his nephews to stay in the hotel to prove it. Scitter wants to make up a bedtime stories with the kids one more time and hope it will come true. So the competition between Scitter and Duncan Begins. Will Scitter succeed to be the next general manager for the Sunny Vista Mega Nothingham ? Will he managed to fulfill his father dreams ? Like any other Sandler’s movie,it will guaranteed that its very funny.The stories is a little strange but its fun to watch with the rest of the family.
